The Problem

The Problem

In India, especially until recently, dedicated apps for finding and booking parking or EV charging spots were scarce. Urban drivers faced time-consuming searches for parking in crowded cities and uncertainty about where and how to charge their electric vehicles. This led to stress, wasted fuel, and hindered EV adoption. Recognizing this gap, the goal was to create DOCK: a localized solution to streamline parking and EV charging in Indian cities

  • I did a competitor research of services that existed in Indian and international markets

  • Through informal interviews with commuters, and EV owners, I identified key pain points: unpredictable availability, unclear pricing, and limited digital options

  • I developed user personas and prioritised features like live availability, easy booking, charger discovery and initiation, clear charger details, and support for payment methods (UPI, wallets, cards, net banking)

  • I did a competitor research of services that existed in Indian and international markets

  • Built wireframes and tested them with peers for clarity, simple icons, and reworked on the user flow to improve the experience

  • Produced high-fidelity mockups with a clean, and conducted A/B Testing to create a more refined and user-friendly UI
